
Corporal Hoba Chilembo, a former Red Arrows Rugby player, was interred with full military honours at Mutumbi Cemetery on Saturday, February 8, 2025. The funeral ceremony was attended by a multitude of mourners, including fellow rugby players, members of Active Bodies gym and TNT gym, and representatives from the Zambia Air Force.

Colonel Sydney Chikasa, representative of the Air Force Commander and chairman of Red Arrows Rugby, conveyed a message of condolences and comfort to the bereaved family. The Director of Sports for the Zambia Air Force, Colonel Maureen Sililo, was also in attendance, along with other service mourners.

Tributes poured in from family members, sportsmen, and gym enthusiasts, including Colonel Peter Kapepa, who remembered Cpl Chilembo as a gentle giant and sports enthusiast. His passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, gentle giant.
