Renowned philanthropist Dr. Febian Mumba made a follow-up visit today, Sunday, February 16th, 2025, to the site of the house that partially collapsed due to heavy rains on January 29th, 2025.
The widow and owner of the house, Ebester Mwiinga, warmly welcomed Dr. Mumba, expressing her heartfelt gratitude for his timely intervention.
Dr. Mumba’s generosity has provided the widow and her family with a comfortable 3-bedroom rented house, paid for two months in advance. The community came out in force to show their appreciation for Dr. Mumba’s kindness, with senior residents, and youths praising his selfless act.
“We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude,” said one senior resident. “Dr. Mumba’s kindness has brought hope to our community. We thank him for his compassion and generosity.”
Another resident added, “Dr. Mumba’s visit has lifted our spirits. We are encouraged by his commitment to helping those in need. He is a true blessing to our community.”
Dr. Mumba was pleased to see the progress made on the reconstruction of the house. Local youths, supported by Dr. Mumba, have made significant headway in demolishing the old structure. The construction company is expected to commence work on the site within the week.
As Dr. Mumba inspected the site, he was met with applause and words of encouragement from the community. His selfless act has not only brought relief to the widow and her family but has also inspired a sense of community and social responsibility.
Looking ahead, Dr. Mumba plans to empower the widow with a business venture once the new house is completed.
“My goal is to provide a lasting solution to the widow’s financial struggles,” he explained. “By giving her the tools and resources to start her own business, we can break the cycle of poverty and give her a chance to build a brighter future for herself and her family.”
