Board Member and Director of Munobe Accountant Charity Fund [MACF] LTD, Bertha Mwando Nosiku, has presented an overview of the organization’s charity activities and future outlook during the Stakeholders Engagement Meeting held on July 19, 2025. According to Ms. Nosiku, “MACF LTD was established by accountants and professionals with a mission to actively raise and allocate resources for impactful charitable initiatives across Zambia.”

The organization has achieved several key milestones since its inception, including donating essential educational supplies to nearly 30 girls at Mathews 25 International Homes on December 25, 2023, and providing baby blankets, clothing, and cash support to 49 vulnerable rural mothers in Choma on October 18, 2024. Additionally, MACF LTD hosted a career and mentorship seminar for nearly 70 vulnerable and orphaned youth at Lubasi Homes, Livingstone, on October 24, 2024.

As Ms. Nosiku noted, “We are grateful to our Livingstone members and all professionals who dedicated their time to shape the next generation of leaders.” The organization also successfully organized a fundraising and networking graduation dinner in honor of 2024 ZICA graduates, raising nearly K30,000 in pledges.
Looking ahead, MACF LTD has outlined several planned initiatives for 2025, subject to funding availability. These include a charity initiative in Western Province focusing on improving the welfare of vulnerable rural children, widows, and the elderly, as well as rolling out the Shaping Futures career seminars and mentorship program for orphaned and vulnerable youth in Kitwe and Kabwe.

As Ms. Nosiku stated, “We envision MACF LTD growing into a sustainable charity organization with the capacity to generate its own resources, supported by diversified funding streams, grants, partnerships, and income-generating activities.” The organization is developing its Strategic Plan 2025-2030 and planning to establish provincial and district committees to bring MACF closer to communities.
In conclusion, Ms. Nosiku expressed gratitude to members and supporters for their commitment, saying, “I extend heartfelt gratitude to all our members and supporters for your unwavering commitment. We ask for your understanding and invite your feedback, input, and guidance as we continue to grow. Together, let us build MACF LTD into a beacon of hope and transformation for our communities across Zambia.”

In related news, MACF LTD is set to embark on its next project, the Chileshe Chepela Charity Project, which begins this week. The official handover is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, and will include the installation of a 5,000L water tank, revamping of the girls’ dormitories’ bathrooms and toilets, and comprehensive plumbing repairs.
