Kasama, Northern Province – Chileshe Chepela Special School, a Kasama-based institution run by Catholics, has undergone a transformative change thanks to the Munobe Accountants Charity Fund (MACF)’s generosity.

The school, home to 153 pupils with diverse disabilities, previously faced significant challenges in accessing basic necessities like clean water and sanitation facilities.

MACF’s intervention has brought relief and hope to the pupils and staff. The organization refurbished a school block, donated teaching and learning materials, and installed a 5,000-liter water tank to provide clean water to the pupils. The total cost of the donation is worth K55,000.

According to MACF Board Chairperson Anxious Chileshe, “This project is not just about providing clean water and sanitation facilities; it’s about giving these children a chance to succeed in their education and reach their full potential.” The handover ceremony took place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the school premises in Kasama.

Sister Yawila, the Sister-in-Charge of Chileshe Chepela Special School, expressed her gratitude to MACF, saying, “The new water tank is a game-changer for us. Our pupils can now focus on their studies without worrying about accessing clean water.”

MACF team also donated essential educational supplies to the learners, including exercise books, mathematics sets, and other necessary materials.
MACF comprises professional accountants, student accountants, and passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, united in their commitment to creating positive change. This initiative is part of MACF’s commitment to education and empowering related community initiatives.

The organization has outlined several planned initiatives for 2025, including a charity initiative in Western Province and rolling out the Shaping Futures career seminars and mentorship program for orphaned and vulnerable youth.
The completion of the water project at Chileshe Chepela Special School is a shining example of the positive impact that can be achieved when people come together to make a difference.

As MACF continues to work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive society, projects like this one will play a critical role in shaping the future of these children and empowering them to reach their full potential.
