While other areas may be making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with stories of youth involvement in crime, substance abuse, and other social ills, the 10 miles area is writing a different story – it is one area that has become a hotbed for entrepreneurial activity, with young entrepreneurs who reside in the area building successful businesses from scratch.

Despite facing challenges such as limited access to funding and infrastructure, these young trailblazers are shattering conventional norms and redefining the business landscape with their bold ideas, unwavering resilience, and unrelenting drive. Here, young people are harnessing their energy and creativity to build businesses, create jobs, and drive economic growth. LUCKFORD PHIRI, CEO and proprietor of Eastluck General Dealers, a car dealership company that has made a name for itself in the 10 miles area. With a vision for growth and expansion, Phiri has successfully expanded his business to Tanzania, establishing a new office space in Dar-Es-Salam. Not only has he built a thriving business, but he has also created employment opportunities for other youths, both directly and indirectly, through his company.
“I’m passionate about creating opportunities for young people in my community,” Phiri says. “I believe that entrepreneurship is key to unlocking our potential and driving economic growth.”

Another prominent figure in the 10 miles entrepreneurial scene is Pst. VICTOR NYIRONGO, CEO and proprietor of Nkhalo Real Estate. With a certified real estate business company, Nyirongo has made a name for himself in the industry through his innovative approach and ability to think outside the box. Moreover, he has created employment opportunities for other youths, both directly and indirectly, through his businesses, providing them with valuable experience and skills.
“I’m always looking for new ways to innovate and improve my business,” Nyirongo says. “I believe that entrepreneurship is about taking calculated risks and being adaptable to change.”

SAILI PHIRI is a youth entrepreneur with a strong presence in the 10 miles area. He has built a reputation in business, including real estate, and is known for his outspoken views as a youth governance activist. Through his business ventures, Phiri has created employment opportunities for other youths, both directly and indirectly, contributing to the economic empowerment of his community.

Pst. ANDREW MWANSAKILWA is an ordained pastor, entrepreneur, life coach, and celebrated book author who has made a name for himself in the 10 miles area. He runs a private school renowned in the education system and has written books that serve as a guiding map for youths seeking direction in life. Through his businesses, he has created employment opportunities for other youths, both directly and indirectly, providing them with a platform to grow and develop their skills.
“I believe that every young person has the potential to succeed,” Pst. Mwansakilwa says. “My goal is to empower them with the skills and knowledge they need to achieve their goals and make a positive impact in their communities.”
