Zambia’s William ‘Machine’ Sichone has successfully defended his Fitness Physiques Africa title for the second consecutive year, dominating the competition at the College of Music Hall in Zimbabwe on September 13, 2025.
Sichone, a proud representative of Matero Body Building and Fitness Gym, bested strong competition, including Ojon “Super-Cop” Simusokwe of Kabwata Gymnasium, who finished second. Sichone’s impressive physique and posing routine earned him the top spot among over 48 athletes.

The competition showcased Zambia’s rich bodybuilding talent, with notable performances from DoublePower DP, who won the Junior Bodybuilding category, Shadreck Mwaba, who took top honors in the Open Men’s Physique category, and Susan, who claimed first place in the Sports Model category.

In a post-competition interview, William ‘Machine’ Sichone expressed his sincere appreciation to Zimbabwean-UK entrepreneur Cathy Martin, founder of the Body-By-Cathy brand, for providing a platform for athletes in the fitness industry to showcase their talents. He also thanked his coach, Munashe Michael, and his family for their unwavering support and guidance throughout his journey.

“I’m grateful to ‘Boss Lady Cathy’ for providing a platform for fitness athletes to shine, and to coach Munashe Michael for his patience and guidance – their support has been invaluable,” Sichone, said.
Sichone’s victory solidifies his position as one of Africa’s top bodybuilders, following an impressive career marked by multiple Zambian national championships, the 2024 Mr. Matero title, and a second-place finish at the 2023 Zed Nationals.

The Fitness Physiques Africa competition is set to electrify Zambia on September 20th, 2025, at the NIPA Hall in Lusaka, where top body-builders will converge to showcase their physiques. Meanwhile, Sichone remains focused on international glory, ready to represent Zambia and further cement the country’s growing reputation in the sport.
