The people of Luangwa, Chilulu, in Silwizya Ward 13, Lusaka Central Constituency, came together this morning to bid farewell to Maliko Banda, a member of the community.
Among the mourners was Gabriel Kaoma, aspiring councilor for Silwizya Ward 13, who attended the funeral and burial service at Leopards Hill Cemetery.

During the burial service, Kaoma delivered a heartfelt message of condolence to the grieving family, offering words of comfort and solace.
He urged them to find strength in the face of this irreparable loss, drawing on the community’s collective support.

Kaoma also expressed profound gratitude to those who rallied around the family during this challenging time, acknowledging their empathy and kindness.
“Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Maliko Banda, a cherished member of our community,” Kaoma said.

“While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in the memories we shared with him. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May we find strength in our collective grief and support one another in love and solidarity.”

The family representative extended their deepest appreciation to Kaoma, affectionately known to locals as ‘Mungeli,’ and his team for their presence and support, saying:
“Thank you to you and your team for being there for our family during this difficult time. Your sincere support means the world to us, and we appreciate it more than words can express.”
