In a remarkable display of community-driven philanthropy, the Lions Clubs of Sunningdale, Zanaco, and Arise Telecommunications have joined forces to bolster the physiotherapy department at Chipata Level One Hospital.
The trio’s generous donation, valued at approximately K32,000 (US$1,390), comprises blankets worth K15,000 (US$650) and state-of-the-art physiotherapy equipment worth K17,000 (US$740).

The donated equipment, including stationary exercise bikes, an indoor rowing machine (ergometer), and sit-up benches, will significantly enhance the hospital’s rehabilitation services.
This partnership is poised to positively impact the lives of thousands of patients seeking medical attention at the hospital.
“We are deeply grateful for this donation,” said the hospital authorities. “The physiotherapy equipment will enable us to provide better treatment and care to our patients, ultimately improving their recovery outcomes.”

The hospital has also issued a heartfelt appeal to the public to donate unused gym equipment to support the physiotherapy department.
This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration and community support in enhancing healthcare services.
The partnership between the Lions Clubs of Sunningdale, Zanaco, and Arise Telecommunications exemplifies the power of collective effort in driving positive change. Their contribution will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the lives of patients and the community at large.
