Two-time Fitness Physiques Africa champion William ‘Machine’ Sichone has paid tribute to his wife, Ruth, as the unsung hero behind his bodybuilding success.

In an exclusive interview, Sichone described Ruth as his rock, best friend, and number one fan, who has stood by him throughout his journey in the competitive world of bodybuilding.
“She is more than just a wife and mother to our children, she is my partner, my confidante, and my biggest supporter,” Sichone said, speaking with evident emotion.

“She has been with me since the early days, when I was just a young boy from Matero Constituency with big dreams. She knew me before I started bodybuilding, and has been my constant source of encouragement and motivation.”

Sichone and Ruth’s love story began in their childhood days, with Ruth still in grade 5 at the time. The couple has since built a life together, with three beautiful children and a successful bodybuilding career.

Sichone credits Ruth for her unwavering support, particularly during the tough times when he was pushing his body to its limits. “She is always tolerant with my mood swings, and is always there to pick me up when I’m feeling down,” he said.

As Sichone prepares to take on new challenges in the bodybuilding world, Ruth will be right by his side, cheering him on. “She is my pillar, and I couldn’t do it without her,” he said, smiling.
