In an exclusive interview, Chipangali Constituency Member of Parliament Andrew Z Lubusha categorically denied rumors circulating about his alleged collapse and hospitalization. Lubusha expressed sadness at the peddling of such falsehoods, assuring the public of his perfect health and well-being.
“I have learnt with sadness that some people are spreading lies that I collapsed and am admitted to the hospital,” Lubusha stated. “I want to confirm to the good people of Zambia that I am okay and in good health.”
Lubusha reiterated his message on social media, posting a video on his Facebook page that dismissed the rumors and expressed dismay at the malicious intentions behind them. “It’s sad that people would go to such lengths, wishing bad for others,” he noted. “I’ve just concluded chairing a committee on Cabinet Affairs in Parliament, and I’m in perfect health.”
Emphasizing the need for unity and coexistence beyond political affiliations, Lubusha said, “Our lives belong to God, and these are just politics. Family and friendship must always prevail, void of political affiliation or association.”
The outpouring of support for Lubusha was evident in the comment section of his Facebook page, where many condemned the propaganda news as “evil” and “malicious.”
The overwhelming consensus was that such baseless rumors have no place in Zambian politics. As one commenter aptly put it, “Let’s focus on building each other up, rather than spreading falsehoods and tearing each other down.”
Lubusha’s denial of the rumors has brought relief to his constituents and well-wishers, who continue to rally behind him in solidarity.
