By TROY MUKUPA

Chipangali Member of Parliament, Andrew Lubusha, has announced the commencement of a massive road construction project in the constituency. The Andrew Zindhlu Lubusha Foundation will oversee the construction of 160 kilometers of roads under phase three of the project.

The project will kick off with the construction of the St. Margaret’s to Mafuta road, followed by other roads in the constituency. Lubusha expressed his gratitude to the Council Chair, who has pledged to contribute fuel for the initial phase of the project. He also acknowledged the support of the eight Councilors of Chipangali, who have been advocating for improved road connectivity in the area.

Lubusha emphasized that the project is a game-changer for the people of Chipangali constituency. “Improved road connectivity will not only ease transportation but also boost economic development and create opportunities for our people,” he said.

Residents of Chipangali constituency have welcomed the news with excitement and gratitude. Senior Resident, Mr. John Mulenga, expressed his gratitude, saying he’s lived in Chipangali all his life and has never seen a project of this magnitude.

The project has also been hailed by the youth and farmers in the constituency. Natasha Mwamba, a youth from the constituency, said, “We’re excited about the job opportunities this project will bring. It’s a game-changer for us young people, and we’re grateful to Honorable Lubusha for his vision and leadership.”

Evelyn Chanda, a farmer and resident of Chipangali, also expressed her gratitude. “As a farmer, I know how difficult it is to transport our produce to the market. With these new roads, it will be easier for us to sell our goods and improve our livelihoods. Thank you, Hon. Lubusha and the Andrew Zindhlu Lubusha Foundation, for this wonderful project.”

Preparations for the project are underway, with the mobilization of earthmoving equipment already commenced. A formal launch of the project is expected soon.
