Lusaka, Zambia – Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President Antonio Mourinho Mwanza has issued a stern warning to social media users who continue to spread a false story about him.
Mwanza clarified that a 2021 article by New Vision Newspaper quoting him as saying “Cut my manhood if HH wins” was completely fabricated and malicious.
The DPP leader revealed that he had sued the newspaper for defamation and won the case. The newspaper failed to pay the court-awarded damages and has since been shut down.
Mwanza cautioned that anyone repeating or circulating the false story will face personal liability for defamation in court, emphasizing that the truth has been legally established and justice has been served.
