To eke out a living, he resorted to selling samosas (snacks) and, in a desperate bid to survive, even ventured into artisanal mining in Mumbwa district. It was during this difficult time that he turned to his friend, a carpenter, who offered him an opportunity to learn the trade, marking the beginning of Msimuko’s journey in carpentry.
