Renowned Zambian gospel music sensation, Pompi, took to social media to share a harrowing experience that left him shaken but grateful. The celebrated songwriter and performer revealed that he and his brother were involved in a road traffic accident earlier this week.

According to Pompi’s Facebook post, their car was stationary when a concrete mixer truck collided with them. Despite the severity of the impact, Pompi and his brother escaped unscathed, with the former still managing to attend an important meeting.

Pompi attributed their narrow escape to divine intervention, expressing his gratitude and awe at God’s faithfulness. “Life is fragile, and we can’t take anything for granted,” he reflected. “Mulungu sama gona pali iwe daily” – a phrase that translates to “God doesn’t sleep” – resonated deeply with Pompi, who sees the accident as a poignant reminder of God’s constant watchfulness.

As he continues to share his music and message with the world, Pompi’s testimony serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of faith, gratitude, and the preciousness of life.
