Facebook is a place where we build lasting reputations. Online, our actions determine how others perceive you.

Remember, every comment, photo, video that we post is made available to a global audience, the majority of which we will never personally meet. To these nameless observers, the persona that we create online is the only barometer they use to measure what kind of persons we are.

It’s important to be conscientious of what we allow to go online because the content we choose to put up is searchable, replicable, and contributes to our permanent digital reputation.
We can avoid many pitfalls that may come from sharing or posting online by first considering beforehand the consequences of what we are choosing to put on the Facebook.

Thinking ahead is the most effective tool in managing our online reputations.
It is also important to encourage School leavers / children and even Parents / adults to take simple courses in IT basics in order to know how the Internet works, by doing so we will avoid being caught up in cyber-crimes.

Please note that all my six children are trained and certified in IT, It is my policy that before he or she chooses a career of choice it is mandatory to first go for IT training full time.
The truth is Facebook is an excellent tool when it comes to promoting positivity and building a good digital reputation. Facebook is a digitalized “Insaka”.
In my language Icibemba is “Insaka” is a gathering where different ideas are shared. Wise people are careful of what they share “pa Nsaka”.

Advice: Even if we delete our postings, they are not actually deleted, they can be retrieved and used against us. The fact is we cannot permanently delete our postings. It is important also as parents to monitor the Facebook Accounts of our children.
Ignorance may put us in problems with the Law. We need to be constant in touch with IT Specialists / Professionals.
MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
