Lusaka, Zambia – Posh Media, in partnership with Lusaka City Council, proudly participated in the launch of the 2025/2026 Tree Planting Programme at the High Court Roundabout. The initiative, aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and greening the city, brought together corporate citizens, local authorities, and community members to plant trees and contribute to a cleaner, healthier Lusaka.
The event was graced by Her Honour, the Mayor of Lusaka, Mrs. Chilando Chitangala, the Area Councillor, invited distinguished guests, and representatives from various organizations committed to environmental protection.
In her vote of thanks, a representative from Posh Media expressed gratitude to the Lusaka City Council for spearheading the noble cause of replenishing Lusaka and the country with more trees. “Posh Media and other corporate citizens are delighted to be accorded this opportunity to contribute to making our city greener and cleaner,” she said.
The company highlighted its commitment to corporate social responsibility through practical initiatives such as tree planting and environmental cleanup efforts. Tree planting, she noted, is a vital step in protecting the environment, mitigating climate change, and safeguarding the health and economy of the nation. The climate-induced drought of 2023/2024 was cited as a reminder of the urgent need for collective action against global warming.
As part of the partnership, Posh Media donated trees and gardening tools to support Lusaka City Council’s ongoing greening efforts and encouraged other corporate citizens to join in mitigating the impact of climate change.
