Lusaka, Zambia – 34-year-old youth leader, Obbie Musunga Chomba, has thrown his hat into the ring for the Member of Parliament (MP) seat in Munali Constituency, unveiling his vision for the area’s development.

In a move that has generated excitement among residents, Chomba launched his “The Munali We Want Vision” on November 7, 2025, outlining his plans to champion youth empowerment, women’s advancement, and inclusive development once elected.

The vision is anchored on five core principles: Transparency and Accountability, Community Participation, Equity and Inclusion, Sustainability, and Partnership and Collaboration.

According to Chomba, the plan aims to promote long-term solutions that benefit current and future generations, ensuring every citizen has access to opportunities and a clean and safe environment.

Key implementation strategies include community-based planning forums, annual constituency development reports, and partnerships with government, private sector, and civil society organizations.

Chomba’s candidacy is seen as a breath of fresh air, with many residents eager to see his vision translate into tangible development.

“The Munali We Want Vision reflects the aspirations of our community, and I’m committed to making it a reality,” Chomba stated.
With the 2026 General Elections looming, Chomba’s bid is expected to shake up the political landscape in Munali Constituency.
