A 40-year-old taxi driver, Floyd Mulembwe, has been found dead with severe injuries in the Kasupe area of Lusaka. The police report that the body was discovered on a gravel road near Sikale Wood Processing Company around 07:10 hours today.

According to the police, the victim had a deep cut on the throat and another behind the head. A knife, a motor vehicle registration plate, and a mobile phone were recovered at the scene. The phone belonged to the victim, and his wife, Grace Chalele, was informed of his death after she called the phone.

The deceased was driving a Toyota Vitz, beige in color, registration number CAE 9910, owned by Francis Chatola, who reported that Mulembwe had been employed as a driver for less than a month.
The body has been deposited at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination and burial. A docket of case has been opened, and investigations are underway.

The Zambia Police Service urges anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigations.
