A tragic road accident involving a Constituency Development Fund (CDF) police vehicle occurred early this morning, resulting in the death of one police officer and leaving five others severely injured.
Hon. Sunday Chilufya Chanda, Member of Parliament for Kanchibiya Constituency, expressed deep sorrow over the incident.
“It is with profound grief that we mourn the loss of one of our colleagues. This is a devastating blow to our community,” he said.
Hon. Chanda extended condolences to the family of the deceased.
“We offer our deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones during this difficult time. May the soul of the departed rest in eternal peace,” he said.
The lawmaker also sent well-wishes to those injured in the accident.
“To those who sustained injuries, we pray for your swift and full recovery. Our thoughts and support are with you and your families as you heal,” he stated.
“This accident is a significant setback for our young District, where police presence is crucial for maintaining peace and security. The CDF Police Vehicle has been instrumental in ensuring law and order, and its loss will be deeply felt across the community,” Hon. Chanda noted.
“In this moment of grief, let us come together in compassion to comfort one another, honor the memory of the fallen, and continue working together for a safer and stronger Kanchibiya.”
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by local authorities.
