In a spectacular display of vocal perfection and artistic finesse, the Triumphant Praise Team from Remnant Baptist Church in Emmasdale, Lusaka, emerged triumphant at the Lusaka Baptist Fellowship Churches Association (LBFCA) Praise Teams Music Festival 2025. The event, which pitted music groups from various churches under the LBFCA umbrella against each other, was a battle of perfect harmony, musicianship, and presentation.
The competing groups showcased their God-given talents through captivating performances in different categories, including the “presentation of the theme song” and “own choice song presentation.” When the dust settled, the Triumphant Praise Team stood tall, their renditions of “I Love You Lord/Blessings” and “Ebenezer” leaving the audience in awe.
The team’s electrifying performance of “Ebenezer” as their theme song was the pièce de résistance, cementing their position as the top praise team at the festival. They walked away with a K5,000 cash prize and a first-position trophy.
Deacon Misheck Chibuye, the lead music conductor for the Triumphant Praise Team and recently elected Baptist Fellowship of Zambia (BFZ) National Youth Chairperson, was recognized as the Best Music Conductor at the festival. In an interview, Deacon Chibuye attributed his success to his passion for God’s word, music and dedication to his craft. “It’s a privilege to lead such a talented team,” he said. “I’m humbled by the recognition, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve the Lord through music.”
Michael Chibuye, a singer-songwriter, music composer, and minister of the word, who leads the renowned Bethany Church Choir from Remnant Baptist Church, congratulated the Triumphant Praise Team on their victory. “I’m overwhelmed with joy and pride,” he said. “The team has worked tirelessly to perfect their craft, and it’s wonderful to see their efforts bearing fruit. I encourage them to continue ministering God’s word and works through music, bringing glory to His name.”
With their win, the Triumphant Praise Team has solidified their reputation as one of the top praise teams in the country, and their music is sure to continue inspiring and uplifting audiences across Zambia.
