In a rare and intimate conversation, Apostle Joshua Marlon AJ, the visionary founder and leader of Rhema Life Church, opens up about his extraordinary journey, unwavering passion, and unrelenting commitment to spreading the Gospel and transforming lives. With a ministry spanning over 19 years, Apostle AJ has established himself as a respected and influential voice in the spiritual community, known for his inspiring teachings, compassionate heart, and unwavering dedication to empowering others.
When asked to briefly tell our readers who he really is and what drives his passion, Apostle AJ’s response was heartfelt and profound. “I’m a passionate advocate for the Gospel, driven by compassion and a genuine care for the well-being of others,” he emphasizes. “My calling is to serve humanity and empower people to live whole, fulfilling lives, reflecting the transformative power of God’s word.”

Apostle AJ’s educational journey has been extensive. He began with primary education at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lusaka, followed by high school at Kabulonga Boys. As he grew in faith, he pursued Bible school in Zimbabwe at Pentecostal Bible College and later attended Assemblies of God School of Theology in Malawi, where he earned a degree in Theology. Apostle AJ’s extensive educational background has equipped him with a solid foundation in theology, leadership, and ministry. “My educational journey has profoundly influenced my approach to ministry, enabling me to effectively serve and empower others,” he notes.
Apostle AJ’s ministry journey began at the tender age of 9, preaching and sharing God’s word with others. Over the past 19 years, he has been humbled to see God’s faithfulness and guidance. With over 19 years of experience in ministry, Apostle AJ has witnessed significant growth in Rhema Life Church. “Our focus on training and empowering people has been instrumental in our growth,” he explains. “When we raise up others, they, in turn, can raise up more people, creating a ripple effect of transformation.”
Apostle AJ’s leadership style is hands-on and empowering. “I believe in showing my team how to accomplish tasks, training them, and then giving them the autonomy to take ownership,” he says. “This approach has helped us build a strong, motivated team that’s passionate about our mission.”

Rhema Life Church is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in their community. They support local orphanages and have sponsored programs to feed children. Apostle AJ believes the church can effectively address social issues by providing education, economic empowerment, and healthcare initiatives.

He actively seeks mentorship, attends conferences, and engages with literature that challenges his perspectives and fuels his growth. “I’ve been profoundly inspired by the wisdom and guidance of Bishop Edgar Ng’ambi, Dr. Nevers Mumba, and Bishop Imakando, who have challenged me to deepen my faith and expand my horizons,” he reflects.
