ZAM President Brian Bwembya, popularly known as B Flow, said he hopes the Chibombo festival will not be a once-off event.

“This is an initiative that other districts should emulate. We must do away with only having music festivals in Lusaka,” Bwembya said during a press briefing held yesterday at the National Arts Council of Zambia (NACZ) in Lusaka.
In response, festival Chief Executive Officer Chris Aka assured the ZAM President that the event is not a once-off initiative.
Aka, an award-winning afro-fusion and reggae artist, said the Chibombo Music Festival will be an annual event aimed at promoting Zambian music and culture outside Lusaka.

The festival is slated for October 10 at One Jay Jay Pub & Grill, 10 Miles in Chibombo district, under the theme “Celebrating Music, Culture and Community.”
The briefing was also attended by renowned legends James Chamanyazi and Mwembe Muntu of the celebrated Black Muntu duo, who pledged 10 free tickets for the first 10 ladies who will attend the festival.

Speaking on behalf of the NACZ Assistant Director, Ms. Lizzie Kalebaila said the Council commends the organizers for creating a platform that celebrates music, culture and community.
Aka assured the public that the event will be memorable, featuring Amayenge Band, Jack Burning, Klephat Meek, Kwela Bantu Jazz Band, James Chamanyazi, Mwembe Muntu, Anna Tembo and traditional dances from Chibombo.
