Westone Mwango, Secretary General for the Center for Constitutionalism and Legal Justice (CCONLEJ), has urged citizens to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise.

In an interview, Mwango emphasized the importance of registering to ensure that all eligible Zambians have a say in the country’s future.
Mwango stressed that the people of Zambia should take advantage of the ongoing voter registration period to exercise their right to vote.

He described this as a critical opportunity for every eligible Zambian above the age of 18 to register as a voter and make their voices count in the upcoming August 2026 elections.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) officially commenced the voter registration exercise in all constituencies across Zambia on October 13, 2025, and it will run until November 11, 2025.

“By registering to vote, citizens can exercise their civic duty and contribute to the development of their communities,” Mwango said.
The CCONLEJ and other stakeholders are urging citizens to participate in the voter registration exercise and make their mark in shaping Zambia’s future.
