Lusaka, Zambia – The battle for the Munali Constituency parliamentary seat is intensifying, with aspiring candidate Obbie Musunga Chomba emerging as the frontrunner in an online poll.
According to a Facebook post by Natasha Mwaba on the Mutendere East My Hood page, Chomba has garnered 157 votes, representing 38% of the total votes cast, with his campaign slogan “Amatwi Kubantu” (Ears To The People) resonating with voters.
Chomba, 34, has been vigorously campaigning in Munali Constituency, focusing on key demographics including youths, women, and senior citizens. His message of transformative development and empowerment has resonated with residents, who are eager for change and improved living standards.
Chomba’s campaign emphasizes youth empowerment, skills development, and effective utilization of Constituency Development Funds (CDF), aligning with the community’s aspirations for better infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
His vision for Munali includes establishing accessible training centers, promoting entrepreneurship, and ensuring transparency in CDF allocation.
Chomba’s main competitors include Thomas Sipalo, who polled 129 votes (31%), and Andrew Mutili, who secured 96 votes (23%). Incumbent MP Mike Mposha and Chrispin Chiinda also threw their hats into the ring.
The online poll reflects the growing momentum behind Chomba’s campaign, with his message of change and development striking a chord with Munali residents.
