๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ Singer, songwriter, producer and performer Victor Nyirongo delivered one of the most memorable moments of Saturday night’s historic Chibombo Music Festival with an electrifying and deeply emotional live rendition of his hit song โVoice of an Orphanโ (Abana Banshiwa).

The powerful ballad is taken from his recently released 24-track album titled โHarmony Within Reality,โ a body of work that continues to receive praise for its depth, versatility and social consciousness.
Nyirongo, who was also part of the live band backing award-winning Afro-fusion and reggae star Chris Aka, brought the entire venue to a standstill as his soulful vocals filled the air, triggering an emotional sing-along from the audience.
His performance later earned him a standing ovation, cementing his place as one of the standout acts of the night.
Audience members described the song as more than just music, but a reflection of real-life experiences faced by many orphans.
Mrs. Mulenga, who was among the crowd, described the performance as profoundly moving.
โIt was such a touching and heartfelt performance. You could feel every lyric. This song speaks to real life โ what many orphans go through in our communities every day. It reminds us to show compassion and never mistreat orphans because they are vulnerable and need our love and protection,โ she said.
Another attendee, Mr. Tembo, said the song carries a strong moral lesson for society.
โI really enjoyed the song. It was powerful and full of meaning. It is a clear warning that people should never mistreat orphans. What goes around surely comes around. If you do good, good will follow you, and if you do bad to someoneโs children, expect bad to come your way. This is a message every Zambian needs to hear,โ Mr. Tembo said.
Nyirongoโs performance has since been hailed as one of the defining moments of the inaugural Chibombo Music Festival, which drew music lovers from different places and brought together legendary and emerging Zambian talent.
Held at One Jay Jay Pub and Grill at 10 Miles, the festival has now been confirmed as an annual event on the Zambian entertainment calendar.
